The Stegosaurus lived about 150 million years ago, during the Late Jurassic period in what is now Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. Characterized by the row of upright plates along their backs and spikes on their tails, the Stegosaurus was a herbivore. Even though it weighed almost 14,000 pounds and grew to the length of a bus, this enormous dino had a brain that was only slightly larger than a walnut!
