This is an interactive and fun way to demonstrate Bernoulli’s Principle… also makes great fun in the Science Cave!
You show students a rocket and a “cone” that fits inside. Then you place the cone into the rocket, leaving a its tip protruding. Invite your students to remove the cone from the rocket without lifting the rocket from the table. They try pulling the cone out of the rocket, but find it impossible to grab it, as it repeatedly slips back inside. When they finally give up, you gently blow into the top of the rocket and the cone magically flies out.
